Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Keywrds.ai ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Keywrds.ai website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, name (optional), and authentication credentials.
  • Billing information. Payment details are collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We receive only the metadata required to manage your subscription (plan, billing status, last four digits of the payment method).
  • Content you submit. Seed keywords, project notes, generated outputs, and any other content you enter into the Service.

1.2 Information from Connected Accounts

When you connect a Google Search Console property to a project, Keywrds.ai accesses the following information from Google on your behalf, using the webmasters.readonly OAuth scope:

  • the list of Search Console properties you own or manage;
  • aggregated search performance data (queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position) for properties you select within Keywrds.ai;
  • the Google account email address associated with the authorization.

We do not access Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data. Pages visited, features used, request timestamps, and basic device information (browser, operating system, language).
  • Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze how the Service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the Service may stop working.
  • Logs and diagnostics. IP address, timestamps, and error traces, used for security and operational monitoring.

2. How We Use Information

  • to operate and improve the Service;
  • to provide AI-assisted features (keyword generation, recommendations, opportunity analysis);
  • to authenticate you and prevent abuse;
  • to process subscriptions, credits, and billing events;
  • to communicate with you about your account, security, and changes to the Service;
  • to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Google User Data — Limited Use

Keywrds.ai's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We use Google Search Console data only to provide the user-facing features the user requested (such as opportunity analysis and recommendations within the user's own project).
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the user-facing features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to users.
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized advertising, or interest-based advertising.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative agreement for specific data, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or for internal operations and only after the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

4. AI Processing

Some features send your content (such as seed keywords or imported page titles) to third-party AI providers in order to generate suggestions. Where we do this, we send the minimum amount of information necessary to produce the requested output. We do not allow these providers to use your content to train general-purpose models, where the provider supports such a setting.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers we use to operate Keywrds.ai (hosting, payment processing, transactional email, error monitoring, AI model providers), under contracts that limit their use of your information to providing services to us;
  • Authorities or third parties when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Keywrds.ai, our users, or others;
  • Successors in a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with continued protection under terms consistent with this Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information and project data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, billing records) by law. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected].

You may revoke Keywrds.ai's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google account permissions page or by disconnecting the integration from within Keywrds.ai. After revocation, we will stop accessing new data from Google and will delete previously imported Search Console data on request.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage for secrets, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

Keywrds.ai is operated from the United States and your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated consistent with this Policy regardless of where it is processed.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the Service before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date above indicates when this Policy was most recently revised.

12. Contact
